Andy is no stranger to the building world, having worked in the family business from a young age. He completed his apprenticeship before joining the British Armed Forces where he completed numerous tours including Iraq and Afghanistan.
After meeting his wife and having their first child he got back into the building trade working for Nomadic Construction, a bespoke home building company based in the UK.
The family emigrated to Saint Andrews, NB in 2017. Since settling in the town they made quite an impact on the community by compiling large scale renovations on their own houses, and gained a reputation of transforming houses to an exceptional standard.
Dwayne has built a name for himself in the local community through his extensive renovation work on two of his own historic homes, which have gone on to win a heritage award from the Saint Andrews Civic Trust as well as an award for the most efficient retrofit in the province in 2013 from the Government of New Brunswick.
In addition to his personal heritage restoration work, he has 12 years professional experience in the construction industry covering everything from demolition to fine woodworking and custom staircase construction.
Amanda left school and completed an apprenticeship in electrical engineering and worked as part of the engineering team at Manchester Airport plc for 17 years. The final two years were spent in the planning and technical support office, where she developed data processes, planned and co-ordinated training for over 100 technicians and worked within the permit office implementing new permit structures.
Emigrating to Canada in 2017 has given her time off to raise her children and to integrate into the community in St. Andrews, and well as complete some major renovations with Andy on houses in town. She is now in charge of the daily behind the scenes running of Harbour Town and is very fortunate to support both her husband and friend in a business that is close to her heart.
During our renovation, there were many unforeseen changes. Andrew, Dwayne, and the crew addressed all of these changes with such a positive attitude and made us feel at ease.
